General Questions (FAQ)

1. Under certain circumstances it is possible to get a replacement. Please send us an email us with a photo of the damage to service@glasslock.de with the following information:
   1. When and where did you purchase your container?
   2. Which product is it? Please tell us the product code that is on the bottom of the glass, for example: MCRB-110 or ORRT-178 (see pictures below).
   3. Do you still have a receipt of the purchase? If yes, please attach the receipt to the email. 

1. Except for our shakers and canisters, all fresh food containers are microwave safe. You can recognize the oven containers mainly by the red sealing ring.
2. All products that are not suitable for use in the oven are marked at the bottom of the glass body with the words "not for use in oven".

Yes, please do not use the lid in the oven. Also, we recommend to use the containers after the oven has reached its temperature.

Yes, you can. Please put the lid on in a staggered manner and do not close it at all. This will prevent a vacuum from forming and damaging the lid. We recommend, that you use the standard plastic hoods found in conventional microwaves.

The silicone ring can be removed for easier cleaning. To ensure the maximum seal, the rings are hollow and therefore very delicate. Please do not use sharp tools e.g. knives or forks, but only blunt objects, such as an old credit card. You are welcome to watch our video where the removal of the seal is shown.

You can freeze food with our containers without any problems. Please let them defrost at room temperature for 5-10 minutes first before putting the containers in the microwave or oven, so that the temperature fluctuations are not too big.

Glasslock products, unlike many other heat-resistant glasses, can be recycled with waste glass without disturbing the recycling process. To guarantee this, the maximum temperature is slightly lower than for other ovenable glasses.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to sell a container without an associated lid.

Please note, that only the oven series is suitable for oven use for temperatures up to 230°C. In case of doubt, feel free to check the bottom of the container. A lettering with "OVEN SAFE" ensures that the container is suitable for the oven. Please also consider, that the lid is never usable for the oven.

No, never close the lid while reheating your food in the microwave. The containers are completely airtight and the expanding pressure through heating may lead to irreversible damage to your container.

Ideally the best way is to keep the container open to prevent moisture damaging the silicone seal in the lid.

Within Germany, our products should arrive at the third business day. If this period is exceeded, we bid you to send us a short feedback via E-Mail. In most cases, the deliverer couldn´t find the recipient and submitted it at a local service point in your proximity.
